Fall is in the Colors

I think the western town influence of West Yellowstone is getting to Gary.  Here he is in taking lessons from the local gunslinger.
We didn’t take many photos today.  It was a quick trip, but I thought I would show you the highlights of Day 4 in the park.

The colors are just starting to change which you can see on this hillside.  Fall is in the air.  Last night it got down to 25 degrees, and the water hose froze!  We had to use the water pump to get water out of the freshwater holding tank.  Thankfully, we had half a tank in reserve for this type of emergency.

Now what would a blog be like without a requisite buffalo photo?  Look at this big furry beast.

This is South Twin Lake.

I love all the forest fall colors represented in this photo.

The next series of pictures is from an area called “The Cascades”.  It is a geothermal region of the park that creates an ever expanding, continually changing cascading mineral landscape.

I just had to have my picture taken between these two huge granite rock formations!

See how the mineral content of the water causes the rocks in this river to appear rusted?

Proverbs 11:14 // Where there is no guidance the people fall, but in abundance of counselors there is victory.
